![]() So, you could try putting a sticker at the top of the mouse in the middle button area to provide physical feedback but that’s kind of ghetto and remember you can’t block the touch sensor area on top without inhibiting functionality. I think this is why Apple did not include middle button functionality as a built-in option. But there is no way of quickly knowing when your finger is in the designated middle zone, so it’s easy to miss and click left or right instead when you don’t mean to. Left and right are easy because they’re spaced far enough apart and you can feel when your hand is at the left edge or right edge. So you can add a middle mouse button via a software add-on, however the problem lies in not having physical feedback as to where the middle mouse button is. They are quite handy apps (both free) and work as advertised. ![]() Of that list I have used MagicPrefs and Better Touch Tool. There is software to add more touch functionality to the Magic Mouse.
